Privacy Policy
Venes Consulting Inc, trading as VENES
This policy explains what personal information Venes Consulting Inc (“VENES”, “we”, “us”) collects through venesconsultinginc.com (the “Site”) and in the course of enquiries, and what we do with it. We are a small advisory firm. We collect little, and we do not sell it.
1. Who we are
Venes Consulting Inc is a Texas-based company, Richardson, TX 75080, United States. Contact: info@venesconsultinginc.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use a contact or enquiry form, or email us, we receive:
- your name and work email address;
- your organization type (for example company management, investor, or supplier);
- what you are asking about, when you need an answer, and how you found us;
- anything you write in the free-text field or in your message.
Information from engagements. If you become a client, we receive business information needed to do the work. That information is governed by the engagement agreement and any confidentiality terms between us, and those terms take priority over this policy where they differ.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request. We use these for security and to keep the Site running. The Site does not use advertising or analytics trackers. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
Please do not send us patient, health, financial-account or other sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else through the Site or by email. Our work is about business revenue and costs, not individuals’ records. If we receive such information by mistake, we will delete it.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and to send a paper or briefing you asked for.
- To scope, propose and deliver work.
- To follow up on your enquiry. We do not send bulk marketing, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent misuse, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Legal bases (EU, UK and similar jurisdictions)
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries and operating a professional services firm), contract (steps taken at your request before, or under, an engagement), legal obligation, and consent where we ask for it.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share it only with:
- service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, email and document tools, and professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, insurers), under confidentiality and data-protection terms;
- authorities, where the law requires it;
- a successor, if we are ever sold or merged, with notice to you where required.
6. Where it is processed
We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere, including India, where we have a presence. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement and the period required by law, contract and our professional insurance, typically up to seven years.
- Server logs: up to 90 days unless needed to investigate a security issue.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to: confirm whether we hold your personal information and give you a copy; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to our use of it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent you gave. Residents of Texas, California and other US states with privacy laws, the EEA, the UK and India may have these or similar rights.
To use any of them, email info@venesconsultinginc.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within the time the law requires, normally within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right. If you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your data protection authority or, in the US, your state attorney general.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across other sites. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of sale or sharing, although we do not sell or share personal information.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including LinkedIn and our related site careconnectsgroup.com. They have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If we make a material change, we will say so on the Site.
